The journal applies a rigorous peer-review process and is committed to publication ethics, scientific integrity, research transparency, methodological reproducibility, and responsible Artificial Intelligence development.
Meaning and Scientific Relevance of “NEXURAL”
The term NEXURAL is a coined academic name formed through the conceptual combination of the words “Next” and “Neural.” The name reflects the journal’s scientific orientation toward next-generation Artificial Intelligence, neural-based learning paradigms, and advanced Intelligent Computing Systems.
The word “Next” represents scientific innovation, emerging intelligent technologies, future-oriented computational research, and the continuous development of new theories, algorithms, architectures, and methods that extend the capabilities of existing intelligent systems. It reflects the journal’s commitment to supporting research that contributes to the next stage of Artificial Intelligence development.
The word “Neural” refers to neural networks, deep learning, representation learning, neural computing, and biologically inspired computational models. These approaches constitute important foundations of contemporary Artificial Intelligence and enable computational systems to learn from data, recognize complex patterns, process information, generate predictions, and support intelligent decision-making.
Together, the term NEXURAL represents the convergence of next-generation scientific innovation with neural and intelligent computational paradigms. It reflects the development of intelligent systems capable of learning, reasoning, perception, prediction, adaptation, optimization, interaction, and autonomous decision-making.
Within the context of the journal, NEXURAL is not limited exclusively to neural-network-based methods. The term represents a broader academic concept encompassing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computational Intelligence, and Intelligent Computing Systems.
This broader concept includes both neural and non-neural approaches, such as evolutionary computation, fuzzy systems, swarm intelligence, probabilistic reasoning, knowledge-based systems, expert systems, automated reasoning, optimization algorithms, and hybrid intelligent systems.
The meaning of NEXURAL is therefore directly aligned with the journal’s principal scientific focus. Artificial Intelligence provides the theories, models, and methods required to develop systems capable of performing intelligent functions, including learning, reasoning, perception, prediction, language understanding, planning, and decision-making.
Intelligent Computing Systems provide the computational algorithms, architectures, optimization techniques, data-processing mechanisms, and system designs required to implement, enhance, evaluate, and responsibly deploy these intelligent capabilities.
Accordingly, NEXURAL – Journal of Nexural Intelligence serves as a scholarly platform for research that advances the theory, methodology, design, implementation, evaluation, and responsible application of next-generation Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing Systems.
The journal name reflects its commitment to connecting emerging AI innovations, neural learning paradigms, and advanced computational methods to address complex scientific, engineering, industrial, environmental, and societal challenges.
Aim
NEXURAL aims to promote rigorous and innovative scientific research that advances the theories, methodologies, architectures, algorithms, models, and applications of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Computing Systems.
The journal welcomes research that:
-
introduces novel Artificial Intelligence methods or computational models;
-
develops or improves intelligent algorithms and learning mechanisms;
-
improves the performance, reliability, interpretability, efficiency, or security of intelligent systems;
-
evaluates Artificial Intelligence methods through rigorous experiments;
-
develops responsible and ethical approaches to Artificial Intelligence;
-
integrates neural and non-neural intelligent computing methods; and
-
demonstrates scientifically validated AI applications in real-world environments.
NEXURAL encourages interdisciplinary research across multiple application domains. However, submitted manuscripts must demonstrate a clear scientific contribution to Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, intelligent algorithms, computational models, reasoning mechanisms, optimization methods, or intelligent system development.
Manuscripts that merely use existing software, digital platforms, statistical tools, or information systems without a clear contribution to Artificial Intelligence or Intelligent Computing Systems are outside the journal’s scope.
